About Me

Nabin Sherchan is a dynamic and multifaceted professional based in Kathmandu Valley, originally from Burtibang, Baglung, Nepal. Born on December 11, 1987, he has built a reputation as a dedicated insurance agent, successful entrepreneur, and an active leader in both financial cooperatives and cultural organizations. Nabin began his professional journey Nabin founded Brothers Burtibang Jadibuti Supplier in Baglung in 2012, which focuses on the distribution of herbal products. ...In 2022, he expanded his entrepreneurial footprint by becoming a co-owner of The Burger House & Crunchy Fried Chicken of Baglung, one of the most successful food franchises in Nepal. His leadership and innovative approach have helped the franchise thrive in a competitive market. Parallel to his success in the field of herbs and foods, he stepped into the insurance industry, where he has worked full-time from the very beginning of his career. His role as a Senior Agency Manager and Chairman Club Member at Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance since February 2020 and MDRT since 5 years, stands as a testament to his excellence in the field. Affiliated with the renowned Prabhu Group, he has continually exceeded company goals, participated in multiple in-house and external marketing workshops, and established himself as one of the top- performing professionals in the industry.
In addition to his business and insurance pursuits, Nabin plays an active role in Nepal’s cooperative financial sector.
He is a shareholder in several institutions, including Dhorpatan Saving & Credit Co-operative Limited in Samakhusi, which primarily serves customers from Dhorpatan and the Bagmati Province. He also holds shares in Timchan Tomphobe Saving & Credit Co-operative Limited in Sundhara-formed by a team of experienced professionals in the financial sector-and in CYC Saving & Credit Co-operative Limited, reflecting his deep belief in community-based financial empowerment.

Beyond the business world, Nabin is a highly respected figure in his community and cultural circles. He holds the prestigious title of Senior Thakali Guru (THOM), having completed rigorous training and examinations under the supervision of senior authorities. In this role, he is entrusted with conducting all cultural and religious ceremonies for the Thakali community, from birth to death. His commitment to social service is also reflected in his active involvement with Lions Club International. He served as President of the Lions Club of Kathmandu Myagdi for the year 2022/2023 and went on to become Zone Chairperson for 2023/2024. He also served as a District Officer for the year 2024/2025. Sherchan is also serving as GST Coordinator, contributing significantly to humanitarian efforts and community development projects. Sherchan is not just a successful professional-he is a devoted leader and community advocate whose life and work continue to make a meaningful impact across multiple sectors in Nepal. Nabin is also serving as a Municipal Executive member of Dhorpatan Municipality of Baglung.
